The Shop Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership in the development and execution of the shop process and production strategy in support of the overall business plan and the strategic direction of the company.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership to shop employees.
- Facilitate employee development through hands on training and guidance with a special focus on mentoring apprentices and lube technicians.
- Assign/dispatch repair orders according to technician skills, knowledge and time constraints (when required) in conjunction with DMS Auto Dispatch.
- Maximize production in the shop with particular attention towards apprentices monitoring the performance of all technicians
- Direct, assist and/or complete complex diagnosis with technicians and apprentices including quality control and reoccurring concerns
- Provide performance feedback to the Fixed Operations Manager
- Assist Service Advisors as needed by providing expertise and clarifications for repairs required (and services recommended)
- Review work orders to ensure accurate and appropriate work performed by technicians; clarify as required
- Work with Fixed Operations Manager to maintain schedules and priorities

**Requirements**:

- Minimum High School diploma or Equivalent
- Journeyman Ticket (Licensed Automotive Technician 310S)
- Previous experience as Shop Supervisor
- Attainment of Nissan “Master Technician” designation including EV certification when available
- Own hand tools
- Valid G Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
