Shop and Production Supervisor

**Position Summary**:
**Compensation: $75,000 to $120,000** (Salary + Bonus)
**Responsibilities**:
**Monitor Shop Productivity**
- Ensure proper estimates are being written in order to secure service sales.
- Be fully aware of work in the shop and monitor the flow.
- Review shop capacity and identify vehicles that will not meet their promise times.
- Inspect vehicle and assess the need for repairs prior to the repairs being performed.
- Ensure technicians obtain authorization for decisions regarding major or expensive component replacement.
**Quality Control Inspections**
- Review all no fault founds and acknowledge that the proper steps have been taken.
- Road test comeback and problem vehicles with the customer.
- Road test vehicles flagged for additional diagnosis.
**Shop Process**
- Understand and enforce the requirements for warranty administration detailed in the GM Service Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Monitor and verify the necessity of repairs as determined by the Service Consultants and Technicians.
- Monitor shop practices and procedures, and question any practice where unnecessary expense will be generated or lost revenue will result in policy.
**Technician Training**
- Schedule proper training to maintain a 3.0 minimum training standard.
- Train Fast Lube Technicians on proper procedures and how to interact with customers.
- Provide Fast Lube Technicians with the ‘Over and Under’ vehicle job description.
- Evaluate Technician skills and make recommendations for future training requirements and develop a training plan.
**Schedules/Shop Cleanliness**
- Provide the appropriate schedule for Saturdays and holidays to ensure we have adequate coverage.
- Ensure good housekeeping in the shop and ensure technicians aren’t keeping parts under their benches.
- Hold weekly technician meetings.
