**Youth Leader**

**Experiences Canada’s National Youth Forum brings together youth ages 15-18 from across Canada for a weeklong, experiential learning on Reconciliation (July 3-7, 2024), supported by four foundational building webinars (April 9, 10, 16, and 17). Participants will explore a number of themes and topics around Reconciliation, led by Indigenous entrepreneurs, leaders, Knowledge Keepers, Elders, and residential school Survivors.**

Experiences Canada is seeking 10 youth leaders, **ages 21-30 to** help support our 2024 program. As a Youth Leader, you will be assigned a small cohort of youth and support them throughout the series of four virtual webinars.  You will attend meetings with your fellow Youth Leaders to discuss roles and responsibilities with Experiences Canada staff, and you will ensure that youth are engaged during the webinars and complete their assigned tasks.  Youth Leaders will hold regular check in with their assigned groups to review topics. During the webinar series Youth Leaders will welcome speakers, lead breakout sessions, and provide support where needed.

In addition to providing virtual support, as a Youth Leader you will travel to Ottawa from **July 2-8, 2024**.  While in Ottawa, you will chaperone and mentor youth during the in-person forum on Reconciliation. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the city, and it will be your responsibility to escort them around and help foster a safe and friendly environment for all. Youth participants will be tasked with creating and recording a podcast that will summarize the four webinars and in-person activities, while sharing their reflections on Reconciliation. You will play a key role in helping youth develop content and record their podcast, organize, and facilitate the webinars/workshops, facilitate conversations/reflection, and provide support for group members.
