**Responsibilities**
- You’ll be a primary resource for recruitment and onboarding of hourly employees
- You’ll perform entry level interviews, safety orientations, safety training, job site inspections and safety coordination for Penticton Foundry
- You’ll gain an intimate understanding of our health and safety program and our operation
- Working with supervisors, you’ll ensure that our new workers are fully supported for training and safety needs
- You’ll maintain our safety reporting requirements and improve our processes if needed.
- As a joint health and safety committee member, you’ll provide administrative support and safety program knowledge.
- You’ll ensure accident / injury reports are complete, and will give them to the necessary company personnel and WorkSafe BC.
- You’ll complete all administrative tasks pertaining to the health and safety program, and will maintain records and improve information contained in the related software
- You’ll maintain safety supplies and inventory, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- You’ll assist with the return-to-work program, and help employees get back to full employment.

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years of experience in a safety, or human resources related role
- Desire for training and career development in all areas of safety and human resources
- Experience with safety committees and conducting tool box talks
- Competency in office and safety-related software programs
- Team-oriented and tactful
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to gain buy-in
- Highly organized and able to prioritize

**Salary**: $47,257.60-$72,508.80 per year
