We are seeking a motivated and organized Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) Registered Nurse to support and lead our interdisciplinary team in the Cardiology Department at Penticton Regional Hospital.

Job Summary

About the Role

The Patient Care Coordinator practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). This position supports the seamless movement of patients through the healthcare system and in accessing appropriate resources.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations and high-quality patient care within a designated clinical area(s).
  • Supervise and serve as a role model and resource to staff for clinical decision-making, assessments, and counseling.
  • Review, analyze, and make recommendations on administrative systems, such as policies, procedures, and staffing levels.
  • Liaise with the interdisciplinary team for efficient utilization of resources and plan staff educational needs.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area, three years of recent related clinical experience, and two years of supervisory and teaching experience.
  • Current CPR certification required.
