We are looking for a **Full-Time Term Therapeutic Caregiving Specialist.**

**The term will be from November 4, 2024, to December 31, 2025.**

Here’s how you will contribute as a Therapeutic Caregiving Specialist with McMan South:

- Lead McMan’s Therapeutic Foster Caregiving program across Southern Alberta. Travel is required.
- Lead agency recruitment efforts for Therapeutic Caregivers in Lethbridge, Pincher Creek, Medicine Hat, Brooks, and surrounding areas.
- Responsible for clinical oversight of up to 15 Therapeutic Foster Homes.
- Responsible for the development and ongoing review of formal treatment plans for youth and families.
- Formal supervision of Family Specialists and Therapeutic Caregivers.
- Coordination, oversight, and participation in dedicated 24/7 on-call service.
- Engage in regular contact with youth, Therapeutic Caregivers, and families of origin.
- Utilize inclusive foster care principles to promote and ensure collaborative care with youth, Therapeutic Caregivers, families of origin, and home & cultural communities.
- Oversee program funding to ensure alignment with the budget in collaboration with the finance team.
- Schedule is primarily Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 4:30 p.m., excluding statutory holidays. Flexibility in hours worked is required to meet the needs of the program.
- Participation in the Therapeutic Foster Caregiving 24/7 on-call rotation is required.

Required Qualifications:

- Master of Counselling, Master of Education, or Master of Social Work degree is preferred; undergraduate degrees or diplomas in related Human Services fields will be considered.
- Experience in clinical staff supervision, clinical program supervision, and treatment planning.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a manager/supervisor.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in human services.
- Ability to travel throughout the South Region: Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Brooks, Pincher Creek & surrounding areas.
- Strong cultural competency skills are a must, particularly with respect to Indigenous peoples in Southern Alberta.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities, including working on-reserve.
- Outstanding interpersonal, coaching, mentoring, leadership skills, planning, programming and presentation skills are a must.
- Strength in crisis intervention, case management and communication are a must.
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check dated within the past six months, Driver’s Abstract, valid AB

Driver’s License, daily use of reliable vehicle and minimum $2M vehicle insurance to carry passengers.
- Standard First Aid CPR Level C Certificate.
