As a Highway Traffic Control Supervisor you play an important role in coordinating, supervising and administering all the activities of a highway traffic control crew to ensure safe and proper lane closures in order to meet customer demands.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conducts hazard assessments with the team and customers
- Ensure safe and proper traffic control setups in order to meet customer demands
- Perform basic traffic control set - ups ensuring that they meet MTO Book 7 requirements to ensure safety of all stakeholders impacted by the site (crew members, motorists, pedestrians, etc.)
- Setting up and maintaining the traffic control devices and signage
- Protect your peers, construction workers, the motoring public, by regulating traffic flow.
- Maintain a safety awareness and work in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and policies

**Qualifications**:

- DZ class driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract (required)
- Experience leading a team (asset)
- Construction/road experience (asset)
- Ability to use a smartphone and enter data using computerized mobile devices
- **Good communication skills** - Able to give motorists simple directions, explain hazards, and answer questions
- **Problem Solving skills -** Able to calmly troubleshoot issues and collaborate with a diverse group of people
- You will be required to provide your own 6-inch upper steel-toed boots
- Must be available to work Monday - Sunday, day shifts and night shifts.
