ouis W Bray Construction is looking for a Traffic Control Foreperson in Ottawa, Ontario.
- Act as an authorized representative for the General Contractor (client), responsible for the safety, security, direction, effectiveness, and productivity of crews on the job. This includes client satisfaction of work performance.
- Foreperson are to be on site where temporary traffic control plans are being implemented
- Work alongside the traffic crew to install and remove temporary traffic control setups and ensure they meet all legislative and OTM Book 7 requirements.
- Foreperson shall be the point of contact and complete all required safety documents associated with the scope of work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Mobilize crews as per Traffic Protection Plan (TPP)
- Communicate the Traffic Protection Plan (TPP) to all site workers responsible for traffic control. This shall include emergency response procedures (ERP), any deviations to the TPP based upon traffic flow pedestrian needs, or other onsite conditions (Weather, lighting etc.)
- Control site access points and all ingress and egress in work zones, including vehicle and equipment staging.
- Implement and communicate changes to temporary traffic control set up to mitigate changing roadway/traffic conditions. Provide written communication documenting any changes to the temporary TPP.
- Ensure adherence to work schedule onsite including any requirements imposed by clients with a focus on safety.
- Ensure that all legislative Health and Safety requirements and company policies are being met and followed.
- Ensure that all traffic control work setup meets or exceeds the OTM Book 7 guidelines.
- Ensure that all incidents/ Accidents/ Near Misses are reported and escalated to the appropriate personnel in a timely fashion
- Foreperson shall communicate worker performance issues to Management for corrective action if/when applicable.
- Drive pilot truck, when required
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and requirements to maintain Certificate of Recognition (COR 2020)
- Valid G2 license with a Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Willingness to work flexible hours, days, nights, and weekends as assigned
- Able to perform manual labour and lift up to 23kg / 50lbs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player able to build relationships and mutual respect / trust with fellow employees
- Punctual, reliable, and productive

Majority of time is night work.
