**Position Overview**:
CWF is establishing a project management office (PMO). CWF seeks a Project Management Officer to further define and implement the role of the PMO (Project Management Office), as well as interdependencies with OM (Organization Management).

As part of this role there will be a keen focus on both the development and management of Strategic and Operations project portfolios, as well as overseeing the processes associated with the intake, management, execution, oversight and measurement of the associated portfolio projects.

Reporting to the Executive director, the PMO will work closely with senior management for the development of the project portfolios and the establishment of the PMO(Project Management Office).

Activities include but are not limited to:

- Coordinate a project management team and delegate tasks.
- Monitor expenditures and create detailed reports for upper management.
- Keep track of portfolio projects' progress and ensure their completion as planned.
- Work within budget constraints.
- Implement changes to teams and processes as needed.
- Collaborating with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
- Project portfolio management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning individuals to various portfolio deliverables.
- Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.

**Profile**

This individual reports to the Executive Director and works directly with CWF Directors.

The individual we are looking for will have the following skills and experience:
**_ Skills_**
- Project methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Critical Chain Project Management, etc.)
- Proficient in project management tools (JIRA, Gantt Project, Asana, MS, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Critical thinking
- Structured and organized, with a proven approach to implementing project management.
- Ability to coordinate work across multiple departments.
- Ability to adapt to the varying skill sets with regards to project management practices
- Risk management
- Cost management
- PMP certification required.
- Excellent written and verbal skills as they will coordinate cross-functional activities in the organization.
- Advisory skills to guide departments projects and deliverables.
- Proven work experience as a Project Management Officer or similar role

**_ Experience and Education_***
- Bachelor's degree in business, administration, or a related field.
- Business project management background.
- Experience in project management.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience managing teams.
- Demonstrate experience in supporting transformative environments.
- Experience working with executives from different departments.

**Work Conditions**
- Permanent, full-time at 37.5 hours per week. Overtime as required.
- Location: Head Office in Ottawa, ON with hybrid flexibility to work from home two consecutive days per week.
- Manual dexterity required to operate computer and peripherals.

- Repetitive work.
