**Purpose of the Job**:
As part of the Enterprise Process Improvement team, the Process Efficiency Specialist will play a key role in identifying, assessing and executing process improvements that increase the efficiency and capabilities across the organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Process Excellence, the incumbent will play a significant and highly adaptable role assisting with driving culture transformation, adoption of Lean principles and capabilities throughout various lines of business. This role will work on a number of enterprise process review initiatives and potentially enterprise project work that are both tactical and strategic in nature. As well, the individual will be responsible to manage the implementation of process changes by executing on a detailed plan with effective communication, change management plans, education and if required, training to impacted stakeholders.

The incumbent will cultivate effective relationships with other business partners, champion change management discipline and respectfully collaborate to drive organizational initiatives. Incumbent will be expected to demonstrate advanced Lean techniques and complementary methodologies such as Human Centered Design and Six Sigma.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Execute on key components of Meridian’s continuous improvement strategy; ensuring innovative solutions are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Champion the Lean culture integration across the enterprise through partnership and collaboration with leaders and improvement teams
- Actively report on all Lean & project activities, tracking of results and value to organization
- Act as a resource to business units in identifying and prioritizing process improvement projects and in developing business cases
- Collaborate with Leaders to identify key metrics, activities, and initiatives that affect the business to identify opportunities for improvement, identification of Member value streams, assist with improvement plan development, implement revised work, and support progressive refinement of audit findings and opportunities
- Lead and/or participate in innovative efforts to identify and drive out waste in key processes, improve cycle time, and increase Member satisfaction
- Train and coach others on innovative techniques to identify opportunities within existing processes and suggest best practices to leverage as new processes are being implemented
- Identify reinforcement and sustainment activities to encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Demonstrate a willingness and aptitude to take on new skills, including potential involvement with process automation via Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- Lean and Six Sigma methodology training with five (5) years related working experience
- Process design and documentation, including development and publication of Standard Operating Procedures
- Ability and experience mapping processes using Microsoft Visio software
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to effectively manage and facilitate Lean or Kaizen events and supporting resources
