**Role**:
The Engagement Analyst provides analytical, research, and project management services relating to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of stakeholder engagement initiatives for Ministry program areas or stakeholder groups. This position also supports the manager to deliver major Ministry-sponsored strategic stakeholder engagement initiatives, contribute to the preparation of branch strategies and plans, and ensure effective stakeholder relationships and intelligence are maintained.

In addition, the Engagement Analyst supports the development and delivery of engagement products and stakeholder intelligence for the publicly funded post-secondary institutions. This position provides research and analysis, and event coordination services to enhance the engagement capacity with post-secondary administration and faculty. The Engagement Analyst provides briefings to executives and the Minister for meetings with post-secondary institutions and tracking meetings to plan for strategic discussions.

The Engagement Analyst provides a broad range of coordination, communication and research services that are essential to supporting the Ministry’s strategic stakeholder engagement and post-secondary institution stakeholder relations. This position develops and coordinates the production and dissemination of stakeholder engagement information materials and resources for internal and external audiences using diverse mediums. In addition, the Engagement Analyst provides project and research support to branch and Ministry representatives in relation to engagement planning and event coordination. Other project and research support will be needed on various Ministry-sponsored strategic stakeholder engagement events and consultations. Reporting to the Manager, the Engagement Analyst functions within the parameters of applicable legislation, regulations, policies, and guidelines.

**Responsibilities**:

- Research, analytical, facilitation, and project management services are provided to support the planning and delivery of stakeholder engagement activities for Ministry-sponsored initiatives.
- Supports the development and implementation of engagement and stakeholder relation processes and initiatives to provide post-secondary institutions with opportunities for meaningful input to strategic decisions at the Ministry and system levels.
- Build collaborative relationships which are initiated, supported, maintained, fostered and enhanced, with representatives of the ministry, other Government departments, the adult learning system, and stakeholder organizations.
- Coordinates and supports ongoing research and communication to and about the post-secondary system.
- The Manager and the Strategic Initiatives and Engagement Unit is supported in achieving the Unit, Branch, Division and Ministry mandate and goals.

**Requirements**:

- A University Degree in social sciences or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ related experience. Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one-for-one basis.

Assets:

- Knowledge of research methodology, both qualitative and quantitative
- Knowledge of project planning and management principles
- Understanding of the provincial adult learning system, including current and emerging issues and the administrative structures of institutions and other stakeholder organizations
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines (e.g. Post-Secondary Learning Act)
- Knowledge of relevant information systems and business productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams)
