**We are looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team**

**What you will do**:
- Develop, deploy, and continuously improve our Internal Compliance Program (ICP) and related Trade Compliance (TC) Processes.
- Manage our Controlled Goods Security Plan and additional obligations of Controlled Good’s Registration
- Develop and revise TC procedures for the site
- Develop knowledgebase, awareness and training and deploy across the site on all relevant TC topics
- Review, audit and improve TC procedures at appropriate intervals
- Develop, distribute and revise internal responsibilities chart at the site for TC
- Ensure compliant and effective Tariff code and country-of-origin classification processes are in place. Provide classification support and approvals as required.
- Establish process and support in review of items to determine CUSMA and other free trade program eligibility
- Support in the review of technical specifications and assigning of export classifications
- Ensure compliant and effective Business Partner and Visitor screening processes are in place. Screening support as required.
- Oversee business utilization of the required licenses for goods, technology and services in line with all trade compliance regulations; assist in preparation of export permit/authorizations as required
- Act as the local Trade Compliance point of contact for the Moog Trade Compliance Manager and Corporate Trade Compliance Department
- Stay up to date with changes to relevant regulatory and compliance topics and any directions or guidance issued by the relevant authorities
- Be the site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Trade Compliance as applies to our ERP system (LN/SAP)
- Support additional compliance topics within the business as needed (eg.EHS and material compliance.
**Your Profile**
- Knowledge in contracts, trade compliance, auditing or process improvement
- Previous working knowledge of
- Canadian Export Regulations including the export control list (ECL), and Canadian Controlled Goods Program
- US Export Laws including state and commerce department regulations and controls eg. EAR, ITAR, OFAC
- May have a Degree in Engineering or a diploma in a related topic / trade-related certifications
- Working knowledge of Trade Compliance processes within a sales, engineering and manufacturing environment using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Experience with LN or SAP ERP systems would be an asset
- You are comfortable summarizing key obligations within contractual language and complex requirements
- You have demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You can demonstrate strong organizational skills, are detail oriented and an analytical thinker.
- You may describe yourself as having a process orientation and have demonstrated experience capturing, deploying and improving processes in collaboration with others. You may feel you have a continuous improvement mindset.
