JOB TYPE: Full-time, Contract position terminating March 2024

**LOCATION: Toronto (hybrid), Canada**

Digital Moment is a Canadian charity determined to make sure youth are educated with the skills to thrive, the knowledge to make informed decisions, and the tools they need to use technology to make the world a better place. We work hard to develop and deliver the best computational thinking and coding education, _dans les deux langues officielles_, in Canada. And our efforts are making an impact.

We are continuously innovating and creating immersive and engaging experiences where young people can learn digital skills such as coding, algorithm and data literacy, and artificial intelligence to have a social impact. We are currently looking to hire a Learning Specialist working in a hybrid model, to join our Toronto team to help support an agile team environment that thrives for continuous innovation and growth.

You will be responsible for providing the educational expertise, content production, and instructional delivery. Together you will take in, break down, and carry out the necessary work to meet the needs of DM's audiences and stakeholders.

Additionally, with your Learning Specialist colleagues you will play a key role in defining DM's educational vision, principles, and practices. As a functional team you will ensure that our educational work is carried out across all projects with creativity, consistency, quality, and impact. You will bring innovative thinking into the design and delivery of your work.

You will be required to assess project briefs, based on project delivery requirements, and understand how to achieve the needs of stakeholder projects while maintaining a consistency in DM's educational content.

You must be committed to working with your teammates as a group to grow in knowledge and skills and create a coherent, amazing Digital Moment catalog.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:

- Lead high quality, innovative Digital Moment educational workshops in varying formats and contexts: virtual, live, recorded, blended, training, seminars, conferences;
- Take part in observation, feedback, and skill development within the team;
- Take guidance from, and contribute to Digital Moment's pedagogical approach and educational content creation;
- Produce and play-test materials in varying formats: workshop lesson plans, handouts, online modules, etc.
- Maintain outside educational relationships;
- Initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with educational audiences and institutions: teachers, schools, libraries, museums, etc.;
- Share your relationships, stories, and experiences with other Digital Moment teams;
- Research educational technology, resources, and experiences being developed or offered elsewhere.
- Other arising education-centered work, as required to fulfill Digital Moment's educational programs.
