**The Role**
**What you'll do**:
**AWS Networking & Design**
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of network engineering solutions within AWS cloud environments.
- Administer and optimize AWS VPCs, Transit Gateways, VPNs, Firewalls, and related circuits and services.
- Integrate on-premises networks with AWS using VPNs, AWS Direct Connect, and other hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Implement and manage AWS network security measures, including Security Groups, Network ACLs, AWS WAF, and AWS Shield.
- Work with customers, helping them design, implement, and set up highly available VPN connections.
**Network Support & Monitoring**
- Monitor network availability and capacity utilization to ensure high availability and meet quality of service objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across development, testing, and production cloud environments.
- Provide input into enterprise capacity planning and support proof-of-concept design and testing activities.
- Provide ongoing support to customers as needed.
**Documentation & Collaboration**
- Develop and maintain detailed network diagrams, support procedures, and operational documentation.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineers, Architects, and other IT teams to address cloud infrastructure design and architectural issues.
- Contribute to the development of change requests, white papers, proposals, and other technical documentation.
**What you'll bring**:
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in AWS networking and cloud infrastructure.
- Proven experience with AWS VPCs, VPNs, Transit Gateway, BGP routing, and network security.
- Experience in maintaining complex local area networks (LANs) & Wide Area Networks (WANs).
**Technical Skills**
- Expertise in AWS networking services, including VPC, Transit Gateway, and VPN.
- Strong knowledge of BGP routing protocols and network security best practices.
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Experience with cloud automation tools like Packer, Ansible, and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with AWS hybrid connectivity solutions such as AWS Direct Connect.
**Soft Skills**
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
**Assets**
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-premises to AWS migrations.
- Familiarity with other cloud providers such as Azure
