Police Support Clerk

New Westminster, Canada Metro Vancouver Transit Police Full time

**Responsibilities**
Performs a variety of clerical tasks that include processing Violation Tickets (VT) and Fare Infraction Tickets (FIN). Assists with coordinating various dispute processes for tickets and offences and handling of files reaching the end of lifecycle. Manages incoming documents related to Police Operations files and maintains the Records Room and network drives. Administrative duties include scanning, filing, recordkeeping, switchboard, front counter support, mail services and additional duties as required.

Requires confidentiality, accuracy, attention to detail and an ability to work as part of a team.

**Qualifications**

**EDUCATION**

Completion of Grade 12 with clerical skills including MS Word, Outlook and Excel.

**EXPERIENCE**

Preference will be given to those with current or recent police environment, including experience with Police systems (CPIC, PRIME and Justin).

**Other Information**

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Please note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
