**Research Coordinator**

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting with the creation of research deliverables.
- Assisting the Senior Researchers with research planning, task delegation, determining processes, and developing instructional documents
- Support the Senior Researchers by developing specialized knowledge on files.
- Lead research tasks, onboard staff onto projects, and oversee work.
- Fielding research questions from staff
- Providing quality control on research tasks
- Train and provide technical assistance with qualitative data analysis software.
- Database creation and management
- Assisting with archival collections and management.
- Assisting in the drafting and implementation of research protocols.
- Leading literature reviews
- Providing specialized research assistance at community engagements
- Assisting with developing research related social media content and community workshops.
- Attending meetings on Senior Researchers behalf as needed.
- Assisting with research trip planning.
- Participating in technical research as needed in the following areas:

- Assisting with literature reviews and archival searches using a variety of sources on topics related to indigenous rights, indigenous health, and resource planning.
- Conducting interviews, Elders sessions, workshops, and storytelling circles, etc.
- Writing memorandums, briefing notes, and other technical reports.
- Assisting with qualitative research, including data collection, coding, and analysis.
- Coordinating community events, including ceremonies.
- Delivering various capacity-building and training programs

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in a program of the social sciences, humanities, arts, or sciences. Applicants with commensurate skill or experience with research, research management, writing and reporting, will also be considered.
- At least 1-3 years of experience. Experience working with Indigenous communities is a must.
- Understanding of approaches to decolonizing research and trauma-informed approaches.
- Hold a valid drivers’ license.

- Adaptable, versatile, able to work in a past-paced environment, willing to learn and explore.
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to manage and organize large amounts of information.
- Experience working as part of a research team.
- Experience delegating research tasks and mentoring junior researchers.
- Ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
- Experience working with qualitative data analysis software.
- Ability to travel when required.

**Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000**
