The incumbent is responsible for leading the Ontario Sales team dedicated to the independent advisors MGA network (excluding WFG) and his/her mandate is to grow the business in Ontario within the independent advisors MGA network.The Regional VP of Sales for Ontario will have the Ontario Sales team reporting into him/her.
The position reports to the Vice-President of Sales for the independent advisors network with whom he/she will work closely to ensure aligned goals and growth strategies are in place.
More specifically, the incumbent is responsible for:
- Executing the sales strategy and support the Ontario Sales team to meet the growth objectives with the independent MGA network;
- Grow business and relationships in Ontario with the independent MGA network
- Support and manage the sales team in Ontario to be a high performing successful sales team
Qualifications and key skills:
- 10 + years experience in insurance industry and brokerage environment
- Bachelor Degree; industry related degrees would be of benefit
- Very good knowledge of the individual insurance/investment products
- Very good understanding of the insurance industry in Canada
- Well developed communications and presentation skills
- Ability to function well in pressure situations, flexibility and diplomacy
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and to create opportunities to expand business
- Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated success in motivating and empowering team members
Travel required within the province. May occasionally be asked to travel within Canada.
