The Human Resources Manager leads and directs all Human Resources functions of the St. John's, NL office, and supports the Chief Operating Officer and Management Committee in the successful delivery of the firm's strategy, goals and objectives. They are responsible for the identification, development, and implementation of all Human Resources requirements, and they are a key member of the NL Operations Management Team.

Summary of responsibilities
Lead all equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) initiatives and act as a key member of the Regional ED&I committee;
Manage and advise supervisors on the performance management process;
Lead all recruitment, onboarding, and orientation for the firm including administrative, professional, and legal team members;
Manage the firm’s compensation and benefits program and act as the Group Benefits Plan Administrator;
Oversee all health and safety initiatives including OH&S requirements, office health and safety requirements and case management;
Lead all organizational effectiveness initiatives including retention, recognition and rewards programs;
Identify, develop and implement policies and procedures;
Provide support to the payroll function;
Identify and facilitate learning and development opportunities;
Other duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Commerce with a concentration in Human Resources, diploma in a Human Resources program, or a combined level of education and experience; CPHR designation would be considered an asset;
7-10 years of experience in Human Resources, progressive management and prior experience in a supervisory role;
Strong critical thinking, problem solving, communication, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
