We are currently seeking an innovative individual who is energized about implementing impactful health, safety and wellness practices in the workplace.

**Who we are**:
**What you’ll do**:
The Health, Safety and Wellness Coordinator supports the Health, Safety and Wellness Specialist in delivering our occupational health and safety program, including assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of proactive HSW initiatives to foster a culture of safety at North Central Co-op. They will:

- Assist in educating Team Members to understand their roles according to local OHS legislative requirements and NCC’s safety program,
- Assist in incident investigations, advise on hazard identifications and associated corrective actions,
- Contribute to continuous improvement on policies, procedures, and manuals as it relates to health and safety,
- Support and introduce emerging wellness initiatives

This is a remote role within the Edmonton and surrounding area, traveling across North Central Co-op’s operational sites to enhance community connectedness, professional rapport with teams, and relevancy of advice.

**Who you are**:
You are looking for the opportunity to make a unique impact on the health, safety and wellness program of our Association and currently possess:

- Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in occupational health, safety, and wellness
- A valid class 5 driver’s license
- Knowledge of the National Safety Code is considered an asset
- Diploma in Occupational, Health and Safety and Experience with Safety Management Systems are also considered assets**, **and relevant experience will be considered
