Vision Truck Group is searching for an experienced Payroll/Admin person with drive and determination to support the payroll functions and tasks for our multi branch company. The Payroll/Admin person will support various programs through various payroll administration.

**Responsibilities**
- Respond to payroll related inquiries to Management.
- Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met. Accurately maintain employee tracking spreadsheets which includes new hires, terminations, and employees on leave for both union and non-union employees
- Maintain Occupational Health and Safety programs, including leading the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Support the recruitment/hiring process by posting job ads
- Update spreadsheets/payroll records with new hires
- Produce and submit various reports
- Backup to Payroll, utilize payroll software to add new hires, benefits and other required information
- Create and submit monthly benefits report
- Process Monthly Union Dues
- Register new hires into Manulife and Sunlife
- Add vacations, LOA’s and other days off to the payroll system
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven experience as a Payroll/Admin
- Knowledge and some experience in a unionized environment
- Knowledge of basic payroll processes and best practices
- Strong ability in using MS Office
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage data with confidentiality
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Post secondary education is a requirement
