The **P&C Lead** provides outstanding HR Business Partner support to MEDA locations in North America, Latin America and the Philippines (known as NA/LACP). The Lead collaborates with the Director Global P&C Lead on projects intended to improve MEDA’s culture, employee experience and P&C operations and with other members of the P&C team to achieve collective results.

**Start Date**: As soon as possible
**Location(s)**: Canada. With a high preference for the incumbent to be based or able to travel to our Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario office 2-3 times a week
Reporting into the Director Global P&C Lead, the incumbent will:
**Business Partnering (40%)**
**In North America/**Latin America and the Philippines Region**
- Establish and manage relationships with corporate leaders, Regional Director and Country Manager(s) within the region to support MEDA’s overall business and P&C strategy/objectives
- Provide advice and guidance to leadership in meeting their business goals from a P&C perspective, including leading end to end recruitment, onboarding and related administrative tasks
- Provide guidance to people leaders on employee relations issues, e.g., disciplinary actions, etc. and coach them on their duties and opportunities on P&C matters including performance management, employee engagement, turnover, etc.
- In consultation with people leaders, escalate complex issues to Director Global P&C Lead
- Collaborate with P&C team members to foster positive employee relations and maintain a productive work environment
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, orientation, and exit interviews
- Support and implement ongoing global employee engagement initiatives, such as employee surveys and other mechanisms to “listen” to staff and identify improvement areas for the business
**HR Leadership (20%)**
- Provide leadership, guidance and direction to Country P&C Lead(s) around P&C programs, policies, and practices, ensuring compliance with organization, country, donor and legal requirements
- Stay up to date on changes in employment laws, etc., within assigned region(s)
- Collaborate with Director Global P&C Lead and VP on files or projects as required
**Global Talent Management (15%)**
- Oversee the Talent Management (Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding) program on behalf of P&C globally, taking a strategic view and ensuring program goals and results support MEDA’s strategic direction and business priorities
- Continually assess the effectiveness of the recruitment, selection and onboarding processes, research best practices, obtain feedback from new hires and hiring managers, and leverage data to refine and improve the processes over time. Lead development of and updates to recruiting processes, procedures, and systems
- Develop and facilitate training for hiring managers on the recruiting process and provide periodic training to management staff, building the skills and commitment of hiring managers to follow best practices in all stages of the talent acquisition life cycle
- Develop creative ideas and innovative recruiting techniques to source qualified professionals and a diverse talent pool and share with P&C colleagues - serving as a thought leader
- Develop/improve recruitment templates and forms and maintain employee contract templates for NA/LACP
- Oversee the set up and administration of MEDA’s Applicant Tracking System (currently BambooHR)
- Ensure exceptional onboarding experience for all new MEDA employees by ensuring a warm welcome to MEDA
- Ensure organizing and tracking all orientation sessions and ensuring completion of all appropriate onboarding tasks
**P&C Operations (10%)**
- Collaborate with Director and P&C team members to prioritize, develop and deliver services and products that add value to MEDA departments, regions and countries offices, in support of MEDA’s strategy
- Contribute to P&C budgeting process
**Compliance and Policy Implementation (15%)**
- Ensure compliance with P&C policies, procedures, and legal regulations
- Implementation and communication of P&C policies and programs including updates to the employee handbook
- Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to provide accurate information and support to employees
- Respond to line manager and employee inquiries and provide guidance on P&C policies, procedures, and programs
**REQUIREMENTS**
**Education**:
- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional Human Resources designation such as the CHRP or CHRL Master’s degrees will be an added advantage
