**Qualifications**:
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

- Knowledge of leadership practices in people management, strategic planning and risk management, policy development, financial management and stakeholder relationship management
- Issues and trends at Carleton and in the higher education sector related to the use of technology and information management
- Contemporary best practices in information management and technology programs and service delivery models
- Knowledge of project management
- Knowledge is deployed to develop and lead a major functional area within the university
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, process automation (RPA), and Power BI, with the ability to leverage them to enhance DEX.
- Awareness of ways to measure DEX and familiarity with IT frameworks such as ITIL, including knowledge, incident, change, service request, and major-incident management.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management, peers, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Passion for innovation, collaboration, and customer satisfaction

**Education and Experience**:
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years in IT service delivery, with at least 3 years leading digital workplace teams or projects.
- 5+ years of direct managerial experience in mentoring and developing IT staff.
- 5+ years managing IT systems, processes, and vendors.
- Experience in strategic technology planning and policy development.
