Transformation Leader for Higher Education Digital Initiatives

**About the Opportunity**
S.i. Systems is seeking a highly experienced Transformation Leader to lead and implement multiple digital transformation initiatives for one of our valued higher education clients.
This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility of extension. The role will primarily be remote, with quarterly on-site meetings and some ad-hoc on-site work required (two weeks' notice will be provided).
The selected candidate will provide project planning, monitoring, and management support for the IT Services PMO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the established project vision, define project objectives and scope, and develop a list of deliverables by collaborating with project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date project plans, identify deliverables, estimate duration, and participate in human resources designation for tasks; develop and manage the detailed project schedule and project management plans.
- Follow and control the project evolution, communicate progress made in line with corporate policies and standards, and effectively facilitate meetings and create presentations related to milestones, issue resolution, and project status.
- Manage project risks, including contingency and critical path, and make recommendations for mitigation.
- Integrate and evaluate the Change Management Approach, monitor implementation efforts, and transition issues to ensure business risks are identified and solutions are recommended.
- Ensure an appropriate methodology is used throughout the project lifecycle and provide high-quality project and program management standards across the whole project lifecycle.
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary professional teams, producing monthly reports, including project programs, risk registers, etc.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders and business partners to develop a comprehensive business case for implementing recommendations.
Requirements:
- 8+ years as a Project Manager with 5+ years demonstrated experience leading large multi-million dollar initiatives (e.g., cloud transformation projects, ITSM implementation projects, or other digital transformation initiatives).
- Strong experience dealing with vendor management.
- Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile).
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field within Information Technology.
- Demonstrated experience supporting the implementation of a student information system (SIS) or managing integration projects between a large portfolio of legacy applications.
About the Salary:
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
