**Position Summary**

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our bakery and packaging equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Plan to minimize downtime, optimize equipment performance, and extend the lifespan of our machinery. Our plant runs in 2 shifts and you will supervise a Maintenance Team. This position requires you to be on call for any sudden machine breakdowns or other urgent matters.

**Description of Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining Maintenance cost and inventory levels, assessing critical spare parts and ordering parts and managing receiving in maintenance store room.
- Must be well versed in Bakery equipment (mixers, proofers, formers, ovens, cooling, packaging lines, freezers)
- Understanding of how to build, implement, sustain a successful Preventative Maintenance Plan
- Manage and create Maintenance Tech schedule to accommodate absentee/ vacations across 2 shifts
- Coordinate with management on projects and report on progress.
- Must be organized and aware of all mechanical needs in order to help production reduce waste (must be proactive).
- Ability to prioritize breakdowns, rectify the problems with permanent solutions and minimize downtime
- Maintain the Chemical Control Log for food grade and non food grade chemicals.
- Ensure new chemicals are approved before use in the plant.
- Train and monitor Preventative Maintenance Plan with Engineering Manager for PM completion and feedback from other departments.
- Has to be able to schedule resources to support production and troubleshooting daily.
- Help build 5S plan for maintenance Team in the storage room and maintenance shop
- Ensure that the premises do not compromise food safety or team member safety.
- Ensure that all services and utilities meet prescribed and regulating requirements for food safety.
- Responsible for ensuring premises and equipment meets quality and food safety standards.
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
- Participate on HACCP Team
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Shared commitment to the development and continuing improvement of a positive food safety and quality culture
- Will be trained on 1) the sources of gluten (wheat, rye, barley, spelt, kamut and related grains), 2) the risk associated with gluten cross contamination and its impact on those with celiac disease; and 3) how to report instances of suspected contamination.

**Qualifications**:

- College or University Education with at least 1 ticket
- Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field or in a related field.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

**Working Conditions**:
