**Program and Membership Coordinator**
**REPORTS TO**:
**Executive Director**
**SUMMARY**
The Manitoba Band Association (MBA) is a non-profit charitable organization which fosters, promotes and encourages the establishment, growth, and development of bands and band activity in Manitoba. The MBA strives to accomplish its goals through its programs and comprehensive activities including the Family of Festivals, Provincial Honour Band, and Summer Band Camps.
The Manitoba Band Association is looking for a Program and Membership Coordinator, who will be responsible for the organization and implementation of the MBA’s core programs. The position will also be responsible for assisting in the annual membership drive as well as providing overall operational support. The Program and Membership Coordinator will work with the Executive Director to grow and promote the organization.
This is a permanent position, 32 hours a week, 9-5pm 4x a week completed
**JOB DUTIES**
Responsibilities include supporting MBA operations through the following:
**Program Delivery & Development**
- Organize and implement the MBA’s core programs including the Family of Festivals and
Provincial Honour Band
- Ensure all programs targets and deadlines are completed for each program cycle
- Set up and manage registration and associated process for each program
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and program volunteer committees to continually strive for program improvement and development
- Assist in developing and maintaining program guideline manuals
- Engage and support volunteers as needed for MBA programs
- Communicate with all relevant program stakeholders including volunteer committees, participants and others
- Oversee planning and onsite program and event logistics
**Membership Support**
- Provide support and information to members, volunteers and general public as requested
- Maintain MBA membership directory
- Maintain records and provide membership information and statistics as needed
- Assist in developing communication to members
**Administrative Support**
- Assist in a variety of operations tasks using various online systems
- Assist in communications, website or social media support as required
- Provide support in other related tasks as requested by the Executive Director

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education in a related field, with a minimum of 1 year of related work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in band music. Knowledge of MBA programs is considered an asset.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Must possess strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate multiple end-to-end projects while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a team, with well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Must possess strong computer skills and experience with Google Workspace, as well as various online platforms and software (including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite,
MailChimp, Canva, Wix, JotForm)
- Energetic, self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Experience in a non-profit environment is considered an asset.
- Satisfactory Police Information Check/Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
Search.
**WORK CONDITIONS**
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Lifting or moving up to 25lbs
- Sitting for longer periods of time
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $30,000.00-$37,000.00 per year
