**Role Responsibilities**:
Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge that requires you to fully exercise your excellent leadership and customer service skills? In this role you will manage teams, ever-changing priorities and also work closely with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will be a very seasoned leader who will provide guidance and direction to teams delivering Financial Services to Ministries across the GoA. Services include accounts receivable and billing functions, bank deposits, complex reconciliation of telecommunication payment files and capital asset administration.

**Your responsibilities will be but not exclusively to**:

- Leading highly qualified and specialized teams in a Finance operations environment and managing and reporting on large volumes of information/data including multiple priorities and projects utilizing your sound technical skills.
- Managing your budget, including resource requirements needed to provide services within established targets.
- Participating on cross-ministry initiatives and working groups dealing with policy and procedure and establish new financial processes for the delivery of shared finance services.
- Building and maintaining working relationships with a large client base across the GoA as well as with external stakeholders as you ensure needs are addressed.
- Participating in change management initiatives to minimize impacts on service delivery during the transition to new processes and deliverables.

**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:

- Ability to lead Finance teams and effectively manage competing priorities and stakeholder needs using sound judgement and decision-making.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Ability to work with teams in the planning and implementation of new projects that involve business process review and analysis and process re-engineering with focus on efficiency.
- Exceptional client focused delivery skills that enable you and your team to establish and maintain strong working relationships with a large client base, including senior management
- A high degree of financial accounting experience and/or a high level of understanding of cash management processes.
- Experience in financial (budget / expenditure / forecasting) and human resource planning, accountability and performance management including ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal) using diplomacy and strong analytical and computer skills
- A sound understanding of the strategic direction of the Ministry and priorities, including processes shared with key stakeholders.
- Ability to assess complex situations and develop sound decisions when providing information to Ministry staff and external stakeholders

**Qualifications**:
A University degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, Commerce or related discipline supplemented by four years of experience in a similar role. Equivalencies may be considered. Please see below.

**Preference will be given to the following assets**:

- Four to six years leadership experience in managing teams and projects in a Finance environment.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in the government financial/budgets and planning cycles.
- Experience with financial accounting and
- Knowledge of cash management processes.

**Equivalencies**:

- A one-year certificate and seven years of related experience
- A two-year certificate and six years of related experience
- A Bachelor’s degree and four years of related experience
- A Master’s degree and two years of directly related experience
