Reporting to the National UA Supervisor, the Underwriting Assistant will be joining Wynward’s National Underwriting Assistant team to support their fellow Underwriters across the Country.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely and develop strong relationships with the Underwriting departments for data processing and assembling of new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations of insurance policies.
- Actively engage across multiple company departments (Claims, Loss Prevention, Finance, etc.) on matters affecting, or related to assigned accounts.
- Assist and support fellow UA team members to maintain service standards and achieve targets.
- Enter quotes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage and prepare account documentation.
- Provide administrative support and other related services as needed.
- Provide additional support to the Claims department by managing claims intake, responding to general enquiries, and opening or assigning new claims in a timely manner.

**Job Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 1 year office experience
- Completion of grade 12 education
- Bilingual in French & English
- Willing to take initiative and eager to learn
- Strong typing and computer skills
- Familiar with Windows and Microsoft 360 software
- Excellent time management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Insurance industry experience an asset
