Position Overview:
The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a formalized rotational development program targeted at high potential University graduates with leadership ability. This challenging program provides the incumbent with the opportunity to learn the business and the potential to become a future manager at OEM.

Each participant will learn the business by moving through three different positions in the company over a three year time period. Rotations are approximately one year and may include positions in the Customer Service, Materials Management, Process Improvement or Production departments. See below for the summarized job descriptions. The specifics of the rotation are flexible depending on the needs of the business and the individual’s skill set and interests. The end goal of this program is to prepare the incumbent to take on a leadership role at OEM.

**Job Description**:

- Perform the job functions required of the current rotation position. Specific duties will vary by position, but each rotation will require: communication with internal stakeholders, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and problem solving.
- Participation in projects outside current rotation responsibilities.
- Internal and external management development training.

Qualifications:

- Post secondary degree, preferably in business or engineering
- Extracurricular leadership and/or volunteer experience considered an asset
- Strong understanding of turning data into information, choosing the correct action to drive process improvement
- Strong organizational awareness and business acumen
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and internal systems related to inventory, Point of Sale (POS), purchasing, accounting and data extraction/reporting
- Understands and adheres to Finning/OEM policies and procedures, including safety
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability and desire to learn quickly in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- Strong project management skills
- Motivated by change, innovation, and has a desire for process improvement
- Ability to be proactive and lead change
- Well organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to continuously develop skills and knowledge
- Strong negotiation and decision-making skills
