**About the Role**

**Responsibilities**
- Manage internal control software to facilitate control testing, remediation plan, and manage control documentation
- Manage quarterly sub-certification process on behalf of management
- Liaise with internal/external auditors to provide support for internal controls and CSOX assessments and to address any internal audit deficiencies
- Follow up and validate actions taken by management to re-mediate audit findings to ensure that they are effectively designed and appropriately implemented
- Lead and/or assist with business automation / process improvement projects to enhance Internal Control over Financial Reporting
- Draft and implement corporate - wide accounting policies
- Draft memos on accounting positions as needed, which includes preparing the supporting working papers to ensure disclosures are supported and compliant with IFRS requirements
- Collaborate with other divisional teams on the accounting policy initiatives to assess their accounting practises against WildBrain’s Corporate accounting policies, communicate and resolve any areas of non-compliance

**Qualifications**
- CPA or CA designation or equivalent
- Relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit role with a focus on public-company reporting
- Experience working in a public company and/or media and or studio production distribution environment preferred
- Solid knowledge of IFRS including the latest standards and public company reporting requirements, and US GAAP experience would be an asset
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with leaders at all levels in a cross functional capacity
- Highly analytical and strong, effective communicator with senior management and other stakeholders
- Ability to challenge status quo as required by improving existing processes and are open to sourcing ideas from others
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
- Focused, with a strong passion to learn and succeed
- Possess a “hands-on” approach for all situations, no task too big or too small to handle
- Experience with complex organizational and transactions structures preferred
- Familiarity with financial reporting and other systems (ex. Microsoft Dynamics GP, Management Reporter, WDesk) is an asset
- Strong computer skills required including solid working knowledge of spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel)
