This position is a part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).

In accordance with the Temporary Librarian, Administrative and Professional Staff (TLAPO) Agreement, this position offers a comprehensive benefits package found on our Benefits Overview page and annual salary range of $63,090 -$105,189. This position has an initial appointment of 1 year.

**Location** - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in person work at North Campus Edmonton.

The Centre for Cities & Communities was established to provide global leadership in city building research, collaboration, and education. The Centre is dedicated to preparing and inspiring students for successful careers in city building related professions. The need for a research-intensive Centre is pressing. Also, city building is a multi-disciplinary activity so outreach and collaboration are critical for success.

Building on the strength of the programs offered by the Alberta School of Business, we have developed a curriculum that balances a strong foundation in the fundamentals of commerce with city building training and an integrated program of real-word experience through a variety of industry partnerships.

**Position**

The Centre Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Centre for Cities & Communities, working closely with and reporting to the Academic Directors of the Centre for Cities & Communities. This includes administration, event management and educational & community outreach activities.

The Centre Director will work closely with students and industry partners, as well as faculty members, to enhance interaction among these three stakeholders, to improve the educational experience of students and support the research of our faculty.

Essentially, this position is responsible for all aspects of programming, including: development and implementation of business and strategic plans; development and management of budgets; growth in programming revenue through the growth in existing partner relationships and launch of new programs; manage partner relationships; development of custom programs through needs assessment of partners, responding to appropriate RFP
