**What is the opportunity?**

The Delivery Manager leverages agile, scaled agile, Kanban, and traditional project management practices to support the delivery of a technology initiative. The Delivery Manager will help the business and technology teams align on delivery and drives the removal of impediments that are impacting the team’s delivery objectives. The Delivery Manager will instruct and coach the teams to follow an effective and efficient process that will allow the team to become self-sufficient.

**What will you do?**

**Initiative Delivery**
- Facilitate high complexity or multiple medium to low complexity initiatives from initiation through release, provide oversight to ensure alignment with Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Project Management practices including, but not limited to project kick-off, sprint, release, and deployment planning
- Accountable alongside the scrum team for the achievement of release objectives and results that meet LOB stakeholders’ needs and expectations
- Manage risk governance processes, operational planning, data steward engagement, and vendor onboarding
- Act as the liaison between Ventures and the larger RBC Enterprise on delivery and integration as needed

**Team Activity Facilitation**
- Remove impediments to delivery success through the proactive management of external dependencies, team problem-solving, and the development of new solutions or approaches to ongoing challenges; authority to execute against new approaches and escalate issues through business and/or IT channels where necessary
- Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability of results and solving productivity issues; includes defining and tracking key team performance metrics to reinforce expected behaviors (velocity, unit test coverage, etc.) and continued improvement
- Engage in and facilitate requirements, user experience, and technical conversations across platforms and multiple levels of influence

**Cross Function Communication**
- Communicate cross-functionally, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes, report team progress and accomplishments up and across the organization
- Facilitate cross-functional communication by written status updates, sprint/product demos, and retrospectives

**Coaching**
- Provide proactive coaching to individuals (business and technology) and the team. Recommend continuous improvement of processes to optimize team productivity and drive the team to become self-organizing and self-improving in their delivery practices

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must Have's**:

- Experience managing Enterprise and high-complexity digital projects with inter-dependencies on multiple teams is a plus
- Stakeholder management and relationship management - Forge strong relationships with RBC's various teams, by working with various stakeholders and internal partners. Ability to escalate issues as and when necessary
- Self-starter, with an ability to deal with ambiguity and develop processes and governance from the ground up.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and/or project management and/or business (system) analysis
- 2-3 years of experience as a Scrum Master/Agile practitioner - where Agile values, principles, and practices, were diligently applied

**Nice-to-Have**:

- Certified Scrum Master/KMP Professional with an understanding of various Agile Frameworks
- PMP or Agile equivalent
