**The Opportunity**:The role of the Lease Administrator is to add value to Real Estate Services staff and clients by overseeing the processing and communication of lease documents, providing support and expertise related to lease interpretation and tenant queries, and ensuring tenant billings are done in accordance with the lease terms. The ideal incumbent is reliable, organized, has good attention to detail, and excels in establishing strong relationships with internal and external clients.

**What you will do**:

- System updates include the following:

- Facility Setup
- Lease Term
- Recurring Billing
- Lease Log Information
- Timely setup of all incoming Lease Documents meeting the 3 to 5 Business Day processing time and ensure that all entries are accurately entered following the Lease Administration policy and procedures in place
- Ensure all Straight-Line Rent (SLR) calculations are entered and follows the accounting requirements.
- Review and update as requested by Operations or Lease Documentation team any changes to billings such as area certificates, commencement date change, CPI escalations, etc. so long as it’s within the requirements of current lease agreement. This may require retroactive billings in the system.
- Entry of manual billing invoices as required by the Lease agreement (ie. Security Deposit, Lease Termination Fee, etc.)
- Review of all Validations and Integrities on a regular basis
- Monthly Rent Roll Responsibilities:

- Review of Preliminary Rent reports in preparation for Rent Roll Posting
- Timely submission of reports to Operations team to ensure all changes are captured prior to Rent roll posting
- Accurate and clear explanation of all Rent Roll changes for Operations approval
- Ensure all Monthly rent rolls are posted on time as per Accounting Calendar
- Annual Responsibilities:

- Entry of budget recovery rates and ensure all required approvals are received following the posted Accounting schedule.
- Year End Reconciliation Entry
- Other Duties as required

**Who you are**:

- Education:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma in general business or related field
- Experience and Knowledge:

- 3+ years of Lease Administration experience in the commercial real estate industry with an emphasis on commercial, industrial and retail lease agreements
- Understanding of Lease documents with a focus on interpretation of recurring billings and lease log information
- Communication & Relationship Skills:

- Bilingual English/French considered an asset
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships
- Able to contribute to a positive and highly productive work environment
- Values and demonstrates collaboration and teamwork
- Organizational & Multitasking Skills:

- Able to allocate time effectively and manage tight deadlines
- Efficient and accurate in completing tasks
- Computer Skills:

- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Yardi an asset
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
- **Police Clearance** - A criminal verification check is required for employment.
