- You will conceive, plan, and execute a variety of communications initiatives while ensuring all copy is on brand and in the tone of voice outlined within our brand guide.
- Ensuring that all communications are written in plain language with no room for interpretation.
- You know what corporate storytelling is, and you will prove your success by developing content that will instantly resonate with internal and external audiences. In fact, that's your specialty.
- You're creative. An ideas factory. A word-whizz that bridges the gap between science and art to create employee-engaging communications. Whether it's engaging taglines or a fully integrated corporate communications campaign, you deliver. On time, to brief, and with outstanding results.
- Of course, you know copywriting principles and you know how to use them—from the simplicity of a contraction to proper sentence construction. You perform thorough research, and you're a tone of voice connoisseur.
- You have a natural ability to manage multiple copy development assignments in a fast-paced, rapidly growing business, while consistently delivering quality work. You work well as part of a team, but you're at your best when trusted to get on with creating copy magic.
- Above all, you know what matters to people, so you can develop and use the right messaging to change people's behaviour.

**You will make a difference here at GIP by**
- Identifying and developing storytelling opportunities for all employee-facing channels.
- Use well crafted communications to manage change in support rapid growth.
- Supporting the Director in designing processes for content development and production.
- Presenting ideas and recommendations to the Director, Senior Management Team, and colleagues in in various departments on developing integrated content strategies that include writing and developing content for press releases, President and CEO messages, Health & Safety communications, corporate event communications, content for website, intranet, video, social and other digital platforms to engage employees while highlighting the benefits of working for GIP.
- Responding to internal requests for the development of sales tools, topic development guidance and support, within the scope of communications strategy, writing, editing, social and more delivering on the communications priorities set out in the GIP Corporate Communications plan. Establishes and maintains professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of creative projects.

**Enough about us, let’s talk about you.**
- 8+ years’ experience with professional writing across a variety of channels.
- A strong portfolio, showcasing a range of corporate communications work.
- Proficiency in speech/script writing and development of executive voice.
- Experience in multi-channel writing, design, storytelling, and strategic corporate messaging.
- Strong organizational skills and time-management skills with the ability to work with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
- Manage an editorial calendar with colleagues that incorporates all forms of internal communications.
- Make sure all copy is proofread, meeting our editorial standards and style guide.
- Must have superior skills in script writing, concept development, source outreach, interviewing, editing, research, and organization skills to manage process end-to-end.
- Fluency in French considered an asset.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and an ability to establish working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Previous experience working in professional communications (journalism, marketing, public relations)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with multiple competing priorities.
- Highly collaborative mindset and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to achieve results.
- A responsible team member who is diplomatic, outgoing, has a strong work ethic and the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
