**WEINS Auto Group** is currently seeking a **Construction Manager**. Reporting to the VP, Operations, the Construction Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of multiple construction projects in various stages of development including procurement of the Consultant and Construction Management teams, developing and overseeing project budgets and schedules, tendering and awarding contracts, problem solving, value engineering, contracts management, etc. We value our employees and believe in our staff, work-life balance and career progression from within. **Responsibilities**:

- Manage construction projects throughout all stages of the construction lifecycle;
- Procurement of design and construction management teams;
- Negotiate fees and contract terms with Design, Construction Management Firms and Trades (where required)
- Review all contracts with Design, Construction and Consultant contracts prior to final approval by VP Operations
- Prepare approved list of bidders, detailed RFPs, proposals, cost analysis, and final recommendation letters for awarding contracts;
- Manage and maintain strong business relationships with consultants, trades and construction management firms;
- Attend all Site Meetings
- Perform problem resolution and value engineering when required;
- Manage approvals, site instructions and change orders;
- Review and verify monthly cost reporting and cost-to-complete documents;
- Develop project budgets and report on variances;
- Manage projects to ensure schedules, budgets and quality requirements are being met;
- Perform project risk assessment and analysis;
- Manage the construction management team to ensure projects finish on time, on budget and meet all agreed upon contract requirements;
- Review and approve all project related invoices;
- Perform site inspections and report on progress;
- Ensure all health and safety rules and regulations are being adhered to;
- Oversee and manage all facility and property maintenance for the company’s owned properties;

**Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary education in civil engineering or construction management
- Minimum 5-10 years of construction project management experience
- Strong understanding of all phases of construction including pre-construction, construction, and project close-out.
- Able to effective review and interpret construction drawings
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Strong negotiating and problem solving abilities
- Highly organized and analytical
