The Patient Care Quality Review Board Act provides an avenue for patients to voice complaints about the quality of the health care they received, or the absence of health care services they believe they were entitled to receive. Each Health Authority has a designated complaint office (PCQO) that accepts complaints filed by individuals or their representatives for resolution.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Liaison Office in the Patient Care Quality Department, the Board Administrator will provide research support services for the Department by collecting, organizing, analyzing and presenting diverse healthcare sources for internal and/or external clients.

Job Requirements:

- **Degree **in Health Science, Social Sciences or Public Administration or as related field plus 1 year of recent, related experience*; **OR**:

- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Recent, related experience to include all of the following:

- Experience interpreting and understanding data from the medical and healthcare sector: familiarity with medical terminology, patient health records notations, and policies and procedures used within healthcare delivery spaces.
- Experience in workflow management, project management and/or concurrent deadline management.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

- Experience working in the health sector or social services sector
- Experience working outside the BC Public Service managing workflow in busy offices, ideally for healthcare-related services.

Willingness Statement:

- Willing to work in regular/frequent exposure to difficult and sometimes disturbing and graphic information involving health related adverse events impacting a range of populations, including children.
