**Rate of pay**: To commensurate with experience

**Hours of work**: 37.5 hours per week

**Duration**:12 months,with potential to extend to December 2024 (position to cover a leave of absence)

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in health-related field (or equivalent) required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical Research Assistant or Coordinator role
- Experience with ethics submissions
- Knowledge of local REB requirements, Western Ethics guidelines and the Lawson approval process
- Experience in full service study support of Pharmaceutical Industry sponsored clinical trials
- Experience with laboratory sample shipping and knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods
- Demonstrated knowledge of current regulations and guidelines for clinical trials (ICH GCP, Health Canada Food and Drug Regulations (Part, Division 5), USA FDA 21 CFR, TCPS2 Tri-Council Policy Statement, and privacy legislation (PIPEDA, PHIPA)
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centred care
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
