The Research Assistant will support research projects in the Eating Disorder Program at London Health Sciences Centre to increase knowledge on current interventions in treatment, management, and assessment of eating disorders. The research project will evaluate the current evidence regarding wait-list interventions for families, and work to build and maintain a program evaluation database with quality and clinical measures. This data will be used to develop waitlist intervention modules as well as support for quality data reporting for program evaluation.

Responsibilities include data collection and analysis, study participant recruitment and interviewing, obtaining informed consent, building and maintaining databases, attending project meetings and related trainings and potentially collaborating in manuscript preparation.

**Rate of Pay**: To commensurate with experience
**Hours of Work**: 5 hours per week
**Duration**: One year, with potential for renewal

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree (sciences or health related field preferred)
- Previous experience in data collection and analysis, study participant recruitment and consenting into research studies
- Knowledge about the diagnosis and treatment of eating disorders in children and adolescents is preferred
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong computer skills, particularly with databases
- Ability to work independently and as part of at team
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centred care
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
