This role will facilitate required workplace violence training. The training process includes: assessing training deliverables, defining learning objectives, supporting the implementation of training, delivering hands on physical training, and evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum.

As a part of our Occupational Health & Safety Team, you will work closely with colleagues and managers to determine requirements throughout the training process and will be committed to continuous learning and development.

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a 2-year College Diploma or Degree in Adult Learning or related area
- Certified Training and Development Professional preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent related experience
- Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Demonstrated sound judgement and decision-making skills
- Experience delivering in-person and virtual instructor-led training in non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence
- Effective organizational skills involving time management, prioritization and the ability to problem solve while ensuring attention to details
- Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to work well and independently with minimum supervision in a team environment
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s vision, purpose and values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

**Immunization Requirements**:
Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
- Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated
