**The opportunity**:
The Dean’s office in the Faculty of Arts is looking for a Dean’s Office Assistant. This position would primarily be responsible for supporting Arts Communication team in booking events, coordinating meetings, processing order, providing support and troubleshooting issues for the general office equipment. The Dean’s Office Assistant will also be responsible for acting as the faculty access coordinator.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- Completion of a formal training program in a related discipline from a recognized institution required.
- Two years of general office and/or reception experience required.
- Work experience in a post-secondary institution would be considered an asset.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation.
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills to prioritize tasks among many competing requests and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well as a team member.
- Ability to establish effective rapport with visitors, respond appropriately and communicate information effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated high level attention to detail required.
- Ability to think analytically and problem solve.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
