**The opportunity**:
The Faculty of Education’s student services office provides support to the following academic programs: 1) Bachelor of Education, 2) Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education (PBDE), 3) Graduate Programs (M.Ed. and Ph.D.) This full-time position provides administrative support to the Associate Dean (Graduate and Research), the Assistant to the Associate Dean (when required) and to the Academic Advisors.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- Completion of a formal training program in a related discipline from a recognized institute required.
- Four years of directly related experience required.
- Knowledge of student support services.
- Knowledge and experience in interpreting and advising students on related policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of University of Manitoba policies, procedures and academic regulations preferred.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel software required.
- Strong writing skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High level of independence, initiative, problem-solving and accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously required.
- Proficiency with online student record systems preferred.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
- Experience in SLATE, evaluating transcripts including from international institutions, and calculating grade point averages is an asset.
