**About the role**

We are looking for a Human Resources & Office Coordinator to take on a variety of activities.

In this role, you will facilitate all People Ops functions, from sourcing and recruiting new Risers to helping create an engaging workplace. From growing our company’s talent pipeline to improving engagement, you will ensure our people initiatives help attain our goals and keep employees happy.

Since we’re a hybrid organization, most Risers work two days a week out of our spectacular Burnaby headquarters. As such, this role includes an office administration component, enabling everyone to do their best work.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated and energetic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and out-of-the-box thinking are valued.

**The day-to-day**
- The people side _
- Maintain employer brand on job boards (Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn)
- Carry out all onboarding and offboarding procedures
- Lead the learning and development program (track L&D expenditures and promote program use, maintain the LMS, coordinate lunch and learn sessions)
- Chair the social committee (plan monthly social calendar, coordinate social events, team meetings, and team-building events)
- Prepare and provide employee documentation (employment verification letters, immigration document support, change of status letters)
- Coordinate company performance reviews, check-ins, and surveys
- Maintain HR records, employee documents, policies, and playbooks
- The office side _
- Purchase office supplies and catering, water plants, restock kitchen, and empty dishwasher
- Coordinate shipments and receive deliveries
- Receive guests at the reception area on occasion when guests are booked for an onsite visit

**About you**
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources Management
- Knowledge of HR standards and best practices
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience in ATS, HRIS and other people management systems
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to exercise discretion and confidentiality
- Adaptable, flexible and a self-starter
- Work experience in high-tech is a definite asset
