**Your opportunity**:
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Accessibility Services, the incumbent supervises the day to day work of the Accessibility Advisor Health, Sensory, and Mobility team and provides case management leadership in the provision of academic accommodations in a university setting for students with disabilities. The incumbent reviews new registration packages upon request and assigns new intakes to members of the team. In addition, the incumbent provides training for new Accessibility Advisors, and gives input into the development of effective practices, procedures and processes to ensure the effective delivery of accessible services and supports within Accessibility Services.

The incumbent works with staff and faculty to develop effective accommodations in complex circumstances considering the academic integrity of the program of study, safety to self and others, due process and effective cost management. The incumbent liaises with Academic Progress & Support and Crisis as well as registrars and faculty within academic programs.

The incumbent attends meetings and makes presentations within and outside the University community that promote an understanding of the work of Accessibility Services and the needs of students with disabilities. The incumbent provides input into effective communication strategies for students, faculty and staff.

The Accessibility Advisor Team Lead maintains a caseload of students with disabilities with an emphasis on expertise in specific areas of disability, with the capacity to accommodate other students studying on a full or part time basis in a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs.

The Accessibility Advisor Team Lead acts as a consultant on disability issues to faculty across the University, academic and administrative staff, as well as students. The Advisor is responsible for developing and maintainingrelationships of mutual support with academic programs within the University.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Directing the activities of a group of staff-appointed employees all performing a similar function
- Providing case management support to students requiring the coordination of multiple services
- Responding to escalated complaints using informal negotiation skills
- Facilitating psychoeducational workshops that promote the development of coping strategies and skills
- Developing and implementing academic and/or social skill building programs independently
- Developing components of learning support programs
- Developing accommodation plans for students based on their learning profile and documentation
- Planning and implementing workflow for a group

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Master's Degree in social work, nursing, a disability related profession or field.
- Minimum five years experience in the provision of accommodations for students in post-secondary settings, case management experience with young adults with a wide range of disabilities, experience in leading and
