**What can I expect to do in this role?**: As the Team Lead, you will:

- manage unit staff (including direct reports) and promote a productive team environment to foster a culture of excellence.
- lead and coordinate the efforts of staff, including assigning and monitoring work, providing day-to-day oversight, coaching and mentoring.
- provide project management, advice and executive decision support to senior management for the development and management of the ministry's expenditure management, financial and business planning processes.
- provide business, financial and program planning advice and analysis to support the ministry's fiscal strategy for budget and resource management.
- coordinate the development and monitoring of the ministry's in-year and resource management plans across programs and divisions.
- create and refine processes and tools to support the development and delivery of the ministry's expenditure and resource management reporting, analysis and advise (inclusive of monthly, quarterly and year end financial and FTE reporting).
- develop strategies, assess risk, produce reports, and work with central agency partners to obtain approval and support for the ministry's in-year reporting and submissions.
- develop fiscal strategies, in-year submissions and reporting requirements that clearly link results to business plans.
- drive collaboration and innovative thinking, implement process and business transformations, and communicate the value of change to ministry programs, staff and leaders.
- promote and demonstrate commitment to diversity, accessibility and inclusiveness.

- You have superior leadership skills and strong project management experience to lead complex fiscal planning projects, develop innovative approaches to issues, develop and implement financial and business processes that support accurate financial information, develop risk management strategies to ensure appropriate governance and oversight structures for clients, and ensure compliance with ministry and central agency requirements and standards.
- You have demonstrated the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve organizational goals while maintaining a positive work environment with a focus on staff development and business innovation.
- You are a strategic leader who can promote a culture of inclusion, accountability and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

**Communication and Relationship Management Skills**:

- You have demonstrated and superior written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and can influence and negotiate with partners and stakeholders to find collaborative solutions to complex issues, and present information and proposals to senior management to obtain required approvals in a timely fashion.
- You have demonstrated stakeholder/relationship management skills and strong political acuity with the ability to establish and maintain relationships of trust with senior management, clients and partners.

**Technical Expertise/Knowledge**:

- You have comprehensive knowledge of fiscal planning and resource management, including legislation, policies, standards, and priorities related to business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal and expenditure management.
