**As ATB’s next SVP Enterprise Risk and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), **you will be responsible for directing, managing, monitoring, and leading an effective, efficient, and integrated Enterprise Risk Management and compliance program in accordance with ATB’s Enterprise Risk Appetite Statement as approved by the Board of Directors. This role must understand the overall business of ATB to clearly articulate and counsel the executive management team in establishing, defining and sustaining a strong risk and compliance culture within ATB. This leader understands and champions acceleration and continual advancement of risk management capabilities in a volatile risk environment and shows the value of effective risk management in supporting and elevating organizational performance. The SVP is also ultimately responsible to manage ATB’s relationship with various regulatory bodies and stakeholders, thereby, moving the sphere of influence of this role not only internal to ATB but external as well.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Counsel the Executive Management team in establishing, defining, articulating and sustaining a strong risk and compliance culture within ATB.
- Build and execute strategy for forward looking and effective programs focused on non financial risk (Operational Risk, Model Risk, Compliance Risk, Enterprise Risk)
- Lead and coach senior Enterprise Risk and Compliance leaders to support the achievement of business objectives, with a focus on enhancing talent and enabling performance
- Champion an efficient and effective enterprise ERM and compliance programs throughout ATB that align with ATB’s strategy and risk appetite, and manage ATB’s relationship with various governmental and regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
- Enterprise scenario analysis and stress testing program, inclusive of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process.
- Recommend a course of action to mitigate risks, as well as implement a set of enterprise risk metrics, including losses and incidents, and early warning indicators.
- Provide oversight to assess the adequacy of risk mitigation relative to enterprise risks and their impact to ATB’s strategic goals and oversee the effectiveness of ATB Financial’s Privacy, Legislative Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing Act enterprise wide strategy, policies, frameworks and processes.
- Direct the development and implementation of ATB’s Regulatory Compliance Management program across enterprise wide strategy, policies, frameworks and processes.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and enterprise risk reporting requirements are accurately implemented and reported, on a timely basis, to the Chief Risk Officer, Board of Directors, and regulatory bodies, as appropriate.
- Establish and maintain relationships with government and other stakeholders including ATB’s Board of Directors, ATB Executive, Provincial Auditor General’s Office, Alberta Superintendent of Financial Institution Regulations, FINTRAC, the Privacy Commissioner of Alberta and other Provincial and Federal regulatory bodies, as needed

**Requirements**:

- University Degree in Finance, legal, and/or risk management
- Financial industry designations or related equivalent experience
- Professional qualifications with a minimum of 15 years relevant experience, inclusive of prior executive role experience
- Strong knowledge of the leading practice risk management, compliance, internal control, and regulatory frameworks of a Financial Institution (e.g. NI52-109, COSO, ISO, PCI, AML/ATF, Privacy, OSFI)
