**Major Functions and Responsibilities**
- Provide support, expertise, and technical skills to develop and implement frameworks for both business continuity and enterprise risk management.
- Lead engagement across the organization in the collection and reporting of issues, risks and mitigation strategies.
- Design and implement an overall risk management process.
- Draft, review, and submit for approval risk management, business continuity, and emergency response plans, policies, and procedures.
- Drives and delivers effective business continuity strategies.
- Monitor all operational risk management activities based on department and organizational need.
- Monitor and report on regulatory agency requirements related to business continuity and risk management.
- Introduce and champion the creation of business continuity plans.
- Audit the effectiveness of risk management, business continuity, and emergency response plans and take corrective action.
- Research best practices in business continuity and risk management.
- Script and conduct business continuity exercises (of varying kinds).
- Organize, conduct and participate in emergency response drills in collaboration with OHS.

Required Experience
- 5-10 years experience in risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery or a related field.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor degree in Emergency Management (or equivalent) and certification as a Risk specialist or a Business Disaster Recovery Planner (CBCP).
- Working knowledge of the general tools and techniques of risk management management, business continuity, and emergency response preparedness systems.
- Working knowledge of American National Standard, International Standard Organization, and ICS Canada.
