Purchasing & Inventory Control Coordinator

Mississauga, Canada SMP Metals Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare regular inventory reviews, track stock levels, and monitor lifter component quantities in collaboration with warehouse staff.
- Create and issue purchase orders, and coordinate outside processing activities.
- Verify and ensure accurate pricing on vendor order confirmations.
- Generate the "Open Order Report" to monitor pending orders and vendor receipt timelines, keeping the team informed.
- Receive and match incoming inventory with packing slips and purchase orders.
- Maintain vendor data, update records in Excel and the inventory management system.
- Perform inventory adjustments, address discrepancies, and generate reports.
- Coordinate shipping logistics, prepare customs documentation for cross-border shipments.
- Generate monthly inventory reports and support customer updates.
- Provide support throughout the order cycle, participate in inventory reviews.
- Attend meetings to gain insights into warehouse operations.
- Assist with warehouse organization and provide phone support.
- Perform other assigned duties to contribute to department and organizational success.

Qualification:

- Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and prioritize tasks.
- Previous purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain management experience preferred.
- strong understanding of day-to-day warehouse operations is a plus.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
