**The Inventory & Purchasing Manager **at Canada Welding Supply will play a critical role in managing inventory levels and purchasing activities to support our business operations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of inventory management principles.

**Inventory Management**:

- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and identify areas for improvement.
- Optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs while maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Purchasing:

- Work with current suppliers, be aware of pricing terms and ensure we're always receiving optimal pricing and taking advantage of rebates, savings where applicable.
- Place purchase orders based on inventory requirements and sales forecasts.
- Coordinate with vendors to track order status, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Continuously evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

**Data Analysis and Reporting**:

- Analyze sales trends, inventory turnover, and other relevant metrics to inform purchasing decisions.
- Generate reports and provide insights to management on inventory performance, purchasing trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Utilize inventory management software and tools to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.

**Team Management**:

- Provide coaching to team of 2 Operations Associates, providing continuous learning opportunities and mentorship to the team.
- Conduct annual performance reviews

**Cross-functional Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other departments such as sales, marketing, and warehouse operations to align inventory strategies with business goals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of inventory needs and priorities.
- Participate in strategic planning meetings to contribute insights and recommendations for improving inventory management practices.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management and purchasing, preferably within the Ecommerce industry.
- Experience in industrial supplies or hard goods industry is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
