We are looking for a **Data Integration Analyst** for a** 6-month contract** position in** Edmonton, Alberta**, with a high possibility to extend. **Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.**

**This is a remote position, with the option for hybrid.** The schedule is **8:15am-4:30pm mountain time - 7.25 hours a day, 36.25 hours a week.**

**Role Description**
We are seeking a Data Integration Analyst to help develop and enhance our client’s data fabric, with a primary focus on Microsoft Fabric, connecting with systems such as Dynamics 365, Agiloft, JDE and SmartSimple.

**Responsibilities**
- Create strategies that will identify the various linkages between new and existing data forms, resulting in the integration of data models, development of data policies, and presentation of statistical analysis and data visualizations to help understand and improve service delivery online and offline
- Support governance based on the service data model, service analytics standards, and the development of analytics tools, inclusive of both digital and non-digital service implementation
- Work to implement, develop, and share service metrics and service performance dashboards for internal and public use
- Facilitate and inform program area workshops about current data and performance practices
- Troubleshoot issues related to data models, platforms, cloud services, reporting, ETL activities (Extract Transform Load)
- Mentor team members and others to develop and grow their analytics fluency
- Research best practices and makes recommendations for the direction of data-driven governance policies to support the adoption of digital services, and service delivery information management
- Create data statistical analysis and data visualizations leveraging data querying languages within available data management technologies
- Support corporate priorities based upon data-driven evidence by leveraging existing and new analytics, data visualizations, data modeling and storytelling

**Required Skills and Experience**
- **Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position**
- **A thorough understanding of data fabric concept and how it can be leveraged to satisfy needs for dashboards, reporting and intelligence**
- **Technical expertise in data platforms and integration tools: Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Dataverse, Databricks**
- **Fluent in programming languages like Python and SQL**
- **Experience with using data visualization tools (ex. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) to convey information and insights to non-technical staff**
- **Experience with agile and waterfall project delivery**
- Experience with data hosting platforms and tools for efficient data storage and retrieval
- Thorough experience with cloud platforms for data processing, management, and reporting
- Experience designing and managing data infrastructure for structured and unstructured data
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve conflicts, and sharing information
- Extensive experience in solving data challenges and business problems through technology and change management
- Experience leading data science, analytics initiatives and workshops
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a public sector organization
- Proficient in database systems
