**The Meat Department Manager will manage and oversee the meat department in addition to the execution and management of department-related training, policies, and procedures that all store personnel must understand and adhere to. This position will plan, schedule, and execute all functions and duties to establish and maintain a profitable, organized, and quality department. Contribute to the financial interest of the store by monitoring pricing, margin goals, and standards set by the Store Director.**:

- ** Supervising the day-to-day operations of the meat department**:

- ** Supervising department staff, setting up work schedules and assigning duties**:

- ** Determining staffing requirements, hiring or overseeing the hiring of staff and, when necessary, dismissing employees**:

- ** Training new employees or arranging for training**:

- ** Monitoring product inventories and trends in consumer buying to anticipate which products will be in demand**:

- ** Ordering meat products as required**:

- ** Providing assistance when employees are unusually busy**:

- ** Dealing with customer complaints and recommendations**:

- ** Organizing staff safety programs and department sanitation procedures**:

- ** Monitoring food safety requirements for meat storage and handling**:

- ** Understanding profit principles, retail pricing and analysis**:

- ** Meeting with manufacturers’ sales representatives to discuss product lines**:

- ** Deciding how merchandise should be displayed**:
**At least 2 years experience as a Meat Department Manager or Meat Cutter**:
**Salary: $20 - $22**:
