**The Opportunity**:
This is an exciting time to be part of our Junior School (Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6) as we continue to enhance our teaching and learning program at the School through a new leadership structure focused on literacy and numeracy, in alignment with our newly released Strategy Refresh. We are seeking two innovative and values-driven leaders to join our Junior School as the Division Learning Leads.

Reporting to the Head, Junior School, the Junior School Division Learning Lead is a key member of the Junior School Lead Learning Team and works closely with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinators to implement the Branksome Hall strategy within the instructional areas of literacy and numeracy. This position focuses on positive impact on student growth, curriculum leadership, developing quality teaching and learning, and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers, and stakeholders. The Division Learning Lead will also have a 20% teaching component within the Learning Strategies department.

**Specifically, the Learning Leads are responsible for**:

- Leading the implementation and ongoing development of the Branksome Hall strategy in literacy and numeracy for their division’s age and stage;
- Leading effective written, taught and assessed numeracy and literacy within grade teams/ division teams to deliver outstanding education for girls;
- Inspiring and enabling exemplary teaching, learning, assessment and data analysis;
- Mentoring, coaching, providing guidance and feedback to team members in the areas of literacy and numeracy;
- Collaborate effectively with other learning leadership roles within the Junior School and Senior Middle School.

The Division Learning Leads follow the academic calendar year.

The Division Learning Lead will be a master teacher with proven leadership skills and the ability to provide shoulder-to-shoulder coaching and mentorship to educators in literacy and numeracy.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and 5 years of teaching experience. Equivalencies will be considered;
- Pedagogical expertise in literacy and numeracy within the developmental age group is required;
- Training and/or experience in Special Education and IB-PYP would be preferred.

The Learning Lead will share the School’s vision and values, and will have the ability to build alignment within the team they are supporting. With proven success as a collaborator, the incumbent will be at ease providing professional feedback to faculty within the instructional practice area.You bring an understanding of and commitment to interdisciplinary practice, along with creative and innovative approaches to teaching and learning..
